Chef De Partie

We are looking for an individual to look after our food offering at this lovely village pub.

The Rose and Crown, Welwyn Village

The Rose and Crown Welwyn forms part of a locally owned pub group, well renowned in North Hertfordshire. Our pubs are all unique and the food offer is critical to our ongoing success as well as a diverse drinks range, large outdoor drinking and dining areas, regular entertainment and above all great customer service.

We are seeking a Chef de Partie to step into the already successful kitchen. Reporting to the Head Chef and Sous Chef, you will support the successful delivery of a freshly cooked menu available 7 days a week including daily specials, events and Sunday roasts. You will help with menu development, H&S management and team training.

As an experienced chef you will bring:

At least 1 year of experience as a Chef

Level 1 and 2 Food Safety, Level 2 Health & Safety

Awareness of manual handling techniques and COSHH regulations

Experience working with fresh ingredients

Positive energy and personality

Passion for food and drink

Attention to detail and excellent standards in food preparation and presentation

Calmness and a can do attitude in a busy work environment

Teamwork to motivate and drive the existing team to deliver the food budget

Great communication with every team member

Proven ability to act as a role model demonstrating a positive approach to team morale and development

Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities

Understanding of budgets and GPs

Excellent command of English with the ability to communicate confidently

Proof of eligibility to work in the United Kingdom

Ideally can drive due to our village location

Available to work weekdays, and evenings and weekends
